Love’s Links for Episode 12- Contests for Content, Crowdsourcing an Blog Off II

Great show.   Can’t wait for those Blog Off t-shirts to hit the market.   If you missed tonights show, you missed some great stuff.  So go back and listen if you missed it.

For those who caught the show, here’s my summary of the links that I heard.  As always, if I missed one or got it wrong, just comment on it and we’ll add it.

Janet Fouts’  Pick of the Week was for anyone who has tried to schedule a meeting over email and found how difficult it was to negotiate a time.  Well, you can forget those 12 emails to get a meeting, if you check out Tungle.me For those who haven’t seen the .me suffix on a url before, it is correct.  It’s actually the country code for Montenegro.  But the application that Janet was showing us was a great little site that keeps all of your calendars in synch and helps others negotiate meeting times with you.

Andrew Ballenthin from the Community Marketing Blog introduced the 3 winning contestants from his Blog Off II contest.  There’s full information about the contest and the winners at the Community Marketing Blog.

The third place winner, Tim Ruffner, is an Account Rep for GPI Prototype.  He did a series of blog posts on prototyping for new products.  The amazing thing about Tim is that he beat out a lot of much more experience bloggers.  Even if you aren’t interested in his topic, he’s worth checking out. His blog can be found at http://directmetallasersintering.blogspot.com His twitter handle is @gmidmls

Second place went to Sam Diener.  His blog is called Stuff for Success – that won’t bore you to tears

Sam had a couple of great posts including 6 Things SEO Experts Won’t Tell You and Why Twitter and Linked In Are So Small.   Sam’s twitter handle is @phillyinnovator

First place went to Sean Nelson with two posts — The 7 Worst Linked In Mistakes and the wonderfully titled, Are You A Lion, Turtle, Hound Dog or Alley Cat?

Sean has three books out as well on Linked In and Linked In Strategy.  His blog can be found at socialmediasonar.com
